After a while it can happen that you have ingredients that appear several times in Apicbase. This article shows you how to clean up your ingredient list.
This article shows you how to clean up double ingredients from the same supplier and from different suppliers.
For double ingredients from the same supplier:
- Go to: "Product">"Ingredients" (list-view)
- Filter by supplier (How to search and filter ingredients)
- Sort by product name
- Go down the list
- In case of duplicates
- Open the ingredient to be archived.
- Check if it is in recipes. You can find this at the bottom of the ingredient's general tab.
- If yes: replace this ingredient with the one that remains. Replace ingredients
- Check if this ingredient is in stock
- If yes: count the stock of the remaining ingredient correctly
- Archive the duplicate ingredient
For ingredients from different suppliers
- Go to: "Product">"Ingredients" (list)
- Filter for two suppliers that may have similar ingredients.
- Sort by product name
- Go down the list
- In case of duplicates
- Open the ingredient to be archived.
- Check if it is in recipes.
- If yes: replace this ingredient with the one that remains
- Check if this recipe has stock
- If yes: count the stock of the remaining ingredient correctly
- Archive the double ingredient
- At the end, you can still filter by "ingredients not used in a recipe" to see if there are some redundant ingredients left.
