Supplier Integration Admin Permission

We've made it easier for you to manage ingredient information from integrated suppliers — giving you more control and flexibility.

If you're reading this, you probably already know the benefits of using supplier integrations: daily price updates and automatic data syncing can save a lot of time. However, these integrations aren’t always perfect. When a supplier sends incorrect ingredient information, it used to be difficult to fix.

Not anymore!

With our latest release, we’ve introduced a new user permission that lets you manually overwrite supplier data — and prevent future syncs from undoing your changes.

Enable the permission

To start using this feature, your admin user role needs to have the following permission enabled:

Once enabled, you’ll see a new Integration tab on the detail page of any integrated ingredient.

This tab shows:

• What data we receive from the supplier (under the “Integration” column)
• What data is currently stored in your library
• Whether both are in sync (indicated by a green checkmark ✅)

Changing data & disabling auto-sync

You can now edit any field (directly on the ingredient detail page or via the Apicbase ingredient templates).

For example, if the GTIN code provided by your supplier is incorrect, simply correct it manually.

To make sure this change isn’t overwritten during the next sync, just disable auto-sync for that field.
